Terms and conditions
These Terms govern your use of the Stems Live application and the stemslive.com website (the "Service"), operated by Stems Live LLC ("we"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.
1. The service
Stems Live is an application for running live music: stem playback, setlists, chords, audio routing, MIDI control, and related features. The Basic plan is free and works offline. Paid plans add cloud backup, team collaboration, and greater scale.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for the activity on your account and must be of legal age to contract in your country.
3. Plans, payments, and renewal
- The Basic plan is free and unlimited in its local features.
- Standard and Pro are recurring paid subscriptions (monthly or annual) that renew automatically until you cancel.
- Artificial intelligence features are paid through credit top-ups, independently of your plan.
- Prices may vary by region. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel anytime. Your subscription stays active until the end of the paid cycle and then reverts to the Basic plan. Your content is not deleted; if it exceeds the Basic plan limit, you won't be able to upload new content to the cloud until you free up space or return to a paid plan. See the Refund policy.
5. Your content and your responsibility
You retain ownership of the audio, multitracks, sequences, stems, projects, and any other content you upload or use in the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it for the sole purpose of providing you the Service (backing it up, syncing it across your devices, or processing it with AI when you request it).
You are solely and fully responsible for all content you upload or use in the Service and for how you use it. You represent and warrant that you hold all the rights, licenses, and authorizations needed for that content, including rights over the recording, the composition, the lyrics, and any sample, to upload it, store it, process it, and perform or play it at your performances, rehearsals, broadcasts, or any other use you make of it.
Stems Live only provides the tool: we do not review, approve, or assume responsibility for the content you upload or how you use it. Any third-party claim, for example over copyright, arising from your content or its use is your sole responsibility, and you agree to hold us harmless from those claims and any resulting costs.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service for illegal activities, to infringe on third-party rights, or to attempt to compromise its security or availability.
7. Third-party services
Some features rely on external providers (for example, AI audio processing, voice synthesis, payments, and cloud infrastructure). Their use may be subject to their own terms. See the Privacy policy for how data is handled.
8. Intellectual property
The software, the "Stems Live" brand, and the Service's materials are the property of Stems Live LLC and are protected by law.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss resulting from misuse or failures outside our control. We recommend keeping backups of your critical content.
10. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you through reasonable means.
